Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX): Biden ‘Blew It’ On Border Visit, Calls Border Policy Changes ‘A Joke’

Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) joined the Guy Benson Show to blast President Biden’s visit to the U.S southern border without visiting any active migrant facilities.

Congressman Gonzales reacted to Biden’s border visit saying,

“I mean, he absolutely blows this visit. And the reason why he blew it is I represent part of El Paso. I represent about half of El Paso County, of course, nearly eight over 800 miles of the southern border. I have I was working with the with the administration as soon as I got word that he was going to be visiting the district, I reached out to the team and said, hey, you know, I want to be part of the visit. And they they essentially just ghosted me.”

Adding,

“It was it was such a layup for them. You know, they always they always talk about bipartisanship and blaming the Republicans for never wanting to have a conversation with. Turns out it’s just complete B.S. So it’s a little frustrating on one end, but the other end, like I’m a retired master chief and you sometimes you don’t get a lot of times you don’t get to choose who you work with or or who’s on the other side. You just have to find a way to fix the problem. And that’s what we’re going to keep doing.”

Gonzales also ripped the Biden administration’s supposed updated border enforcment policies saying,

“It’s not. It’s a joke. And, you know, you mentioned Congress and you mentioned and you’re right. I mean, everyone has a plan, right? Everyone wants to create this plan as if they have all the solutions to secure the border. And, you know, because everyone wants to take credit for it. You’re talking about politics. Now, what’s funny is all you have to do, the plan is essentially just re-implement what Trump policies were. It’s not rocket science.”
