Rep.-Elect Kat Cammack: The McCarthy Holdouts Are Putting Their Personal Issues Above What’s Best For America
Florida Republican Congresswoman-elect Kat Cammack joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to chide the remaining few GOP lawmakers who still refuse to vote for Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker.
“There are members who spoke today that stood up and said, Kevin McCarthy will never be Speaker today, tomorrow or any other day and admitting that, quote, this rules package is exquisite. We got more than we wanted. We got everything we wanted, but we will not give him the gavel. To me, that says that your personal vendetta is more important than the country, and as an America first person, that’s unacceptable. To me, that is selfish and is unacceptable. If you’re truly America first, you put your personal issues aside and you do what’s best for the country. And this is so far beyond party. We got to get back to the basics. We got to get back to the Constitution. And I’ll be damned if people who want to use this as a way to raise campaign funds and get TV time. If that’s what their end game is, they’re in the wrong place.”
Plus, Rep.-elect Cammack sheds light on how the Biden administration is taking advantage of all the chaos happening with the vote for House Speaker. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
