Listen To The Full Interview Below:

George Santos, the next Republican congressman for New York’s 3rd Congressional District and the first openly LGBTQ non-incumbent Republican elected to Congress joined the Guy Benson SHow to discuss his victory in Long Island.

Santos reacted to his victory by saying,

“I didn’t play politics this entire race. I talked about issues that were hurting everybody. Issues that kept moms and dads and people up at night before they went to bed. The cost of living, the cost of energy, crime, inflation. These are real bread-and-butter kitchen table issues. And I’d be the entire campaign about them.”

Santos also credited Lee Zeldin saying

“Look, the reality is, I thank this victory to Lee absolutely. I worked hard. I’m not discounting my victory because I work really hard. I was out there all day, every day, 18 hour days. But Lee Zeldin played a massive role. And I think Lee Zeldin is somebody to watch out for the future because I don’t think he’s quite done yet.”
