Chris Christie Reacts To Disappointing GOP Midterm Results: ‘We Had Candidates Who Were Not The Very Best’

Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey joined the Guy Benson Show to react to the results of the 2022 midterm elections and former President Trump’s role in boosting several GOP candidates who lost.

Christie reacted to the results saying,

“The simple fact is that in many of these races, we had candidates who were not the very best that we could’ve for one reason and one reason only because Donald Trump decided that the criteria for picking a candidate who he would push for give his endorsement to in close primaries was that they believe that they will to say that the election in 2020 was stolen. If they were, they got an endorsement. If they weren’t, they did not. In fact, what they got returned was to be vilified by him. And you know what? What we’re doing now, what Donald Trump is doing, to be clear, is making us an unacceptable general election party in close states.”
