Kathy Griffin Booted from the Birdhouse
Washed up comedian Kathy Griffin gets a taste of Elon Musk’s Twitter.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
So I’m not a fan of banning or suspending folks on Twitter but I’ll make an exception in this case.
The once sorta popular comedian Kathy Griffin has been indefinitely suspended on Twitter after impersonating its new owner, Elon Musk. Her account remained @kathygriffin but her profile name took on the likeness of Elon. Not cool.
Fake accounts have been a big problem on Twitter, only made worse when blue check users pull some funny business and use their status to impersonate others for the sole purpose of trolling and mocking.
Elon went on to announce any user who engages in impersonation will be permanently suspended IF they don’t specify their account to be a parody.
And now, there will be no warning before the ban is placed.
This is a big relief to those of us who are routinely and falsely impersonated on social platforms.
Other than the bogus $8/month subscription fee Musk plans to implement on verified users, I think he’s done a great job of cleaning the birdhouse, so to speak.
Let’s see what’s next.
