I Agree With AOC

The jury is still out on Elon’s Twitter. Will it be more fair, more balanced, more transparent? We shall see. But one thing it may not be is free.

Elon Musk is toying with the idea of charging verified users $8 per month to use and retain their blue check status.

This concept didn’t sit well with many users, including New York Congresswoman AOC who tweeted “Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan.”

To which Elon replied, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.”

He also reminded her that she sells $58 dollar hoodies on her website that read
“tax the rich.” Ironic for sure.

Now listen folks, I don’t think I have ever taken AOC’s side on anything BUT I will on this.

There is no way on God’s green earth I’m gonna pay for my blue check on Twitter. Even the other conservative-throttling social platforms have committed themselves to being a free service AND even pay their top creators.

Elon, if you have people like me agreeing with AOC, you should seriously reconsider your plan!
