Evening Edition: Police Departments Struggling to Recruit And Retain Officers

Police departments large and small across the United States are having trouble recruiting new officers and retaining current ones, an increasing problem as crime rates have risen. Many blame it on controversial issues of police reform and deadly use of force that have influenced the public’s view of those in law enforcement. FOX’s Jeff Monosso speaks with Bill Johnson, Executive Director National Association of Police Organizations, about the current state of law enforcement recruitment, the causes for the down turn and possible ways to change it.
