Evening Edition: Justice Department Announces Espionage Charges Against Chinese Nationals
The U.S. Justice Department this week announced charges against thirteen Chinese nationals, including possible Chinese intelligence officers, involving efforts to advance Chinese interests in the United States. The charges announced highlight F.B.I Director Christopher Wray and others in the Justice Department that have privately criticized disbanding a Trump-era program that focused on monitoring Chinese espionage called the ‘China Initiative’.
