Rep. Lee Zeldin: Kathy Hochul Doesn’t Want To Debate Me And Address New York’s Crime Crisis
New York Republican gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the consequences of Governor Kathy Hochul’s refusal to fix the Empire State’s bail reform laws.
“Last Wednesday, a woman was murdered in front of her three kids just outside the Buffalo area. This woman was wearing a bulletproof vest. And she was murdered by her husband, who was released the day before due to New York’s cashless bail law. And she was telling everyone, listen, he’s going to murder me. And the judge still couldn’t hold him. They can’t weigh dangerousness. And an example of not just inside of New York City is what happened in my front yard just a couple of days ago. Or maybe it’s the Marist dad from Long Island who is up there for family weekend and is getting a cup of coffee and checking out of the hotel a couple of weekends back. And then gunfire erupts and then he’s killed. So there’s a lot that’s going on here around the state. And when they do want to talk about crime, crime policy, they’re actually talking about making things worse with new pro-criminal laws. They’re not talking about rolling anything back.”
Rep. Zeldin also talks the shooting that took place over the weekend outside of his home on Long Island, an incident that happened while his two teenage daughters were sitting inside doing their homework. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
