Rep. Scott Fitzgerald: Democrats Can’t Hide From America’s Out Of Control Crime Crisis
Wisconsin Republican Congressman Scott Fitzgerald joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why a large share of voters say crime is one of the most important issues for them in November’s midterm elections, a concern he says has been mostly ignored by the Democratic Party.
“The real problem that they have, specifically with crime, is that it’s measurable, and it’s measurable each and every night. If you turn on a local newscast in the city of Milwaukee right now, the first three stories are going to be about crimes perpetuated in the city or in one of the western suburbs of Milwaukee. So it’s not this big abstract thing. I mean, there are specific incidents happening each and every night, not to mention, an hour and a half south in Chicagoland where they’re inundated with these stories on a regular basis. So that’s something that people are seeing every night. They realize where it’s happening. It’s close to them. It’s in their neighborhood. And it’s something that’s measurable in people’s minds. And the Democrats can’t hide from it right now.”
