Russell Fry: We Need To Fix The Southern Border And Get The Fentanyl Crisis Under Control

Republican candidate for Congress in South Carolina’s 7th District Russell Fry joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on how the Biden administration’s refusal to secure the U.S. Southern border has exacerbated the fentanyl crisis in the Palmetto State.

“I’ve actually done a lot of work on the opioid epidemic in South Carolina as a member of the General Assembly. And we had 18 bills that we passed through. And so I’ve studied this a lot. I’ve watched what other states do to handle it. And it’s amazing that the numbers continue to creep up, but it’s fentanyl. Fentanyl is pouring in and it’s linked to 75% of overdose related deaths at this point. It’s the number one killer for people under 45. I mean, it’s just astronomical figures that are going on. So people are very well aware of it and they’re very concerned about it. And it’s an immigration issue, it’s a national security issue. But what I hear most right now is fentanyl and human trafficking. And those two things are a direct result of a Biden administration that doesn’t even go to the border. They just pretend that it doesn’t exist.”

Russell also talks about why there’s such a disconnect between what’s going on Washington D.C. and the problems facing people in the district he’s running in. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
