Brian Brenberg: Biden’s Student Loan Handout Does Nothing To Address The Underlying Issue

Professor of Business and Economics at The King’s College in Manhattan Brian Brenberg joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain how the White House’s student loan forgiveness plan is irrational and not based in any kind of equity.

“It’s obviously not fair. Even people who support it aren’t trying to make the fairness argument. You hear Elizabeth Warren yesterday making the economic argument, look, it’s going to take debt off their plate and it’s going to boost the economy because you have all these people spending. So she’s trying to make the economic argument. It’s not fair. Somebody made a decision to take on student debt. Now, they may regret that decision. It may have been a bad decision. Got it. But that’s part of how things work. That’s part of how people learn. That’s part of how you live life. You don’t ask somebody else who didn’t make that bad decision to pick that up for you because it doesn’t work over the long term. You want to talk about the long term. That doesn’t work because what happens is people say, okay, should I go to college? Should I take out a loan? Well, you know, I don’t really know, but it sounds like I’m going to get it forgiven at some point anyway. So, nothing better in mind. Why not do it? That’s a fundamentally bad reason to go to college, folks.”

Plus, Brian tells us why college professors should be the number one group of people coming out against this plan. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
