Wesley Hunt: How Can Struggling Americans Buy EVs And Solar Panels, When They Can’t Afford A Home
Wesley Hunt is running to represent Texas’ 38th Congressional district. He joins the show for the first time! Hunt proclaims if he wins the seat, he will easily out-dress Florida Congressman Byron Donalds. The Army Vet then got down to business, mocking Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm for telling struggling Americans to simply buy EVs and Solar Panels to solve their inflation problems.
“There are a lot of just hardworking American people that just don’t make that kind of money. I mean, she’s talking about just go buy solar panels. First of all, you have to be able to afford a home. The prices of homes are going through the roof. Mortgage rates are going through the roof because this administration. So this always goes to talk about just how tone deaf they are. Oh, look, if you can’t afford gas, go buy a EV. The average cost of an EV is $68,000. That price tag is more than what the average family of four makes the median. Average family of four makes in the country. Let’s put that in perspective. And these are supposed to be the party of the people, the party of minorities, the party of black and brown people. And the only thing that they are doing is hurting those that fit right in that middle class social-economic region. And I think that’s the other reason why that the Republican Party right now has become the party of the people, because we understand that we have got to make things more affordable, not just for the rich, doctors, lower-class, but for everyone. Everybody in America have got to be able to live better. And good policies provide that for all of us.”
Hunt also breaks down the trouble at the southern border and criticizes the Biden Administration for ignoring it. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
