Johnny Joey Jones: The Military Recruiting Problem We’re Having Stems From The Cultural Breakdown Occurring In America
Fox News contributor Johnny Joey Jones joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on some of the reasons why the U.S. military is facing a serious recruiting issue.
“You make jokes about every aspect of a human being beside you, and then you prove your love to them by trying to die for them. That’s what being in the military is. And you know what that is? That’s called a grown up view on life. There isn’t a stereotype out there, just like Dave Chappelle says. There isn’t a thing out there, there isn’t an aspect of me, from losing my legs to being a heterosexual White male from the South that isn’t worthy of being made fun of. But making fun of me for that is your way of saying, hey man, I see you for who you are and I love it anyway. And we’re so far away from that right now that we don’t know what to do with ourselves. And it’s absolutely ridiculous. And it’s indicative of a society that is not ready to defend itself. And it’s what scares me about our culture. Your ability to survive as a nation, the strength of your military, the backbone of it is your culture as a people. People in the military aren’t so severed from reality that they aren’t just a microcosm of what exist everywhere else. So if we have craziness and lawlessness running the streets in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and that makes its way to Newnan, Georgia and suburban Tennessee, well, guess what? That’s what we’re going to get in the military too. And that’s the problem we have.”
