Dr. Marty Makary: Career Health Officials Are Leaving In Droves Over Political Interference In Their Work

Dr. Marty Makary, Fox News Contributor, Surgeon and Professor Of Health Policy At The Johns Hopkins School Of Public Health joined the Guy Benson Show to sound the alarm over the political interference happing at several U.S. Public Health Agencies causing career health officials to quit in protest.

Dr. Makary detailed the level of concern by saying,

“The Pfizer vaccine trial failed. There was no statistical significance among the children under five who got vaccinated versus did not get vaccinated. We call that a failed trial. With the Moderna vaccine, the efficacy was 4% in babies and that was not statistically significant. In other words, in that subgroup, it also failed. Now, they tried. Hard to say, well, even though there was no clinical benefit, look, you see some antibodies formed after three doses of the vaccine. And if you look at the specific symptom of symptomatic COVID, there were there was an 80% efficacy. Well, that was based on three individual children. You can’t say there’s an 80% efficacy based on three kids. And when they ran that through a statistical test, that test was not significant. In other words, these are standard tools in science to tell us whether or not there’s a signal in the data.”

Makary added,

“The studies failed. Why are we even doing clinical research studies? If the CDC and FDA made up their mind before the studies are done, let’s go back to the days of snake oil or the king declaring that everybody should take something because this is a slap in the face to science. It’s making a mockery of the process. And these people in these agencies are smart. They are fed up. And they’re leaving in droves. By the way. Everyone from the Vaccine Research Center leadership has left. There’s tons of vacancies. There are two vaccine experts at the highest level. The two top experts at the FDA quit in protest over political interference. That is what we’re seeing an exodus right now.”
