Josh Kraushaar On What Biden’s ‘Historically Bad’ Poll Numbers Mean For Midterms
Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Josh Kraushaar, Senior politics reporter for Axios & Fox News Radio Political Analyst joined the Guy Benson Show to talk about several new polls that show not only President Biden’s historically low approval rating but his loosening grip on the Democratic party.
Kraushaar gave his take on what Biden’s poor poll numbers mean for the midterms saying,
“I think the larger story and maybe a small concern for Republicans is that even though Joe Biden’s numbers are really bad, historically bad, there are voters that he’s losing his base right there, Democrats that don’t like what Biden is doing. And they still may show up to the polls to vote for congressional Democrats. So he’s done so poorly now that even the base has abandoned him in some cases and maybe they don’t show up to the polls in the midterms. And that’s not good news for Democrats. But maybe they do show up and they’re just not excited about Biden. But they will vote for four Democrats running for Senate and House. I think that number, the Democratic number, the floor is closer to like 40. And I think that this is where candidate quality comes in. You know, I think if Democrats get closer to the low mid-forties and, you know, they have some Republican challengers in some key races that may not be ready for primetime, that’s where you might see Democrats being able to overperform the national environment.”
