Rep. Chris Stewart: The Biden Administration Is Betting Americans Are Stupid When It Comes To Illegal Immigration
Utah Republican Congressman Chris Stewart joins Fox Across America With guest host Jason Chaffetz to share his reaction to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying the U.S. Southern border is currently closed.
“What they’re betting is that the American people are stupid and that they can stand up and say something that’s just absurd on its face, and that the American people will go, oh, well that’s reassuring. I’m glad the border’s closed. I guess I’ll just worry about something else now. But the American people aren’t stupid, and they can see it with their own eyes. They can see it in their own communities. You don’t have to live on the Texas border to see the implications of this. When you have two million people entering the country every year, you can’t hide them, and they’re all over our nation. And people are reminded all the time. And they can watch the news and see what’s happening. They can see the increase in fentanyl deaths. They can hear about the child trafficking and the sex trafficking and the other human catastrophe that’s taking place down there. And so the spokeswoman can stand up and say all she wants. We had 1,800 arrests. There is one thing I’ll agree with her on. She said our historic actions. I actually agree with that. It is historic for an administration to create chaos, to intentionally create chaos and suffering on our border like this administration has chosen to do. That is historic, and the American people should hold them accountable for it.”
Rep. Stewart also discusses some of the unhinged reactions we’ve seen from Democrats and Left-wing activists in the media following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
