Johnny Joey Jones: People On Both Sides Of The Abortion Debate Could Be Creating More Empathy For The Other Belief
Fox News contributor Johnny Joey Jones joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on the abortion debate currently going on in our country after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade.
“I think there’s a couple of things at play here. One, there are just fundamental differences in beliefs. If you don’t have in your core a belief or a conviction that an unborn child is is a life, it’s really hard for you to wrap your mind around the government telling you you have to go through this pregnancy. Even if I don’t agree with that, I can sympathize and understand it. If you do have in you, that that unborn child at the moment of conception is a human life, there’s really not an excuse for abortion that you’re okay with, whether it be rape or incest. As horrific as that may be, that’s where your fundamental beliefs are. How do you get those two people on the same page? I don’t know that you ever do. What you can do is create empathy for the other in the one. Right now we have two groups of people that are the loudest. One would wrap a chastity belt on everybody until they’re married and the other one would probably kill a toddler to keep from paying taxes on it. And that might be one percent on each side, but they own all of the narrative.”
