On Wednesday, survivors from the shootings at the Uvalde elementary school and Buffalo grocery store testified before Congress in a House Oversight Committee hearing on gun violence in the U.S. On Capitol Hill, a bipartisan group of senators is still debating legislative solutions on this issue but what these laws will look like is still in limbo. Florida State Board of Education Member and father of Parkland victim Alaina Petty, Ryan Petty joins to discuss what he is hearing about gun control right now, how Florida achieved safety reforms following the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and how he continues speaking on this issue to honor his daughter’s memory.
