Katie Pavlich: Democrats Are Not Taking A Hard Look At The Data When It Comes To Gun Control Measures
Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share her takeaways from actor Matthew McConaughey’s passionate speech at the White House on Tuesday during which he pleaded for more gun responsibility.
“I respect what he said yesterday. I think he had a big impact on people. However, I reject thoroughly this idea that the federal government can somehow make up for the fact that what happened in Uvalde was a result of a deadbeat mom who sent her kid to live with the grandparents. The grandfather also had a felony record, was a prohibited possessor, and they weren’t paying attention to what he was doing on his phone, which was talking about going to do this horrific crime. And when it comes to the president, who Matthew McConaughey met with before he went to the White House lectern to give his remarks, yeah, he called for more background checks. The FBI does 25 million background checks every single year. They talk about this like they don’t exist. And if you want to talk about background checks, it’s a garbage in, garbage out system.”
Plus, Katie tells Jimmy why the upcoming January 6th House Select Committee hearings in primetime will just be an attempt by the Democrats to push their own political goals. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
