‘Slap In The Face’ To Journalism: Howard Kurtz Swipes At Biden’s Sit-Down Interview With Jimmy Kimmel After Months Of Avoiding Media

Howard Kurtz, host of Fox News’s “MediaBuzz” joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss President Biden’s first sit-down interview in several months with late-nite comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

Kurtz sounded off on the move for the President to do a sitdown with a liberal late-nite host as opposed to a journalist by saying,

“It’s a slap in the face. to our profession.”

Kurtz added,

“I got into this with Jen Psaki when I interviewed her on MediaBuzz, which is why doesn’t the president do more interviews? I got the usual, yes, he takes questions. And yet, you know, everybody knows that two or three questions on different topics with no opportunity really to follow up is not the same as doing a sit down interview. We’re holding a full fledged news conference. And, you know, the way I put it is my shorthand is, you know, he’s he’s abandned the media megaphone. He could make news every single day. He could make news on weekends, but he doesn’t do it into that void steps critics, activists, even dissident Democrats who are ticked off about this or that Biden has. Or should be doing. Not to mention Republicans and other haters. So I think it’s a real misstep.”
