“This is what makes people feel like we are on the cusp of some kind of apocalyptic moment. It’s not just rioting in the streets. It’s not protests. It’s not killings and things like that. It’s that the greatest country in the history of the world can’t figure out a way to feed its babies. This is a situation that creates so much doubt in people’s minds. And look, the Biden administration, I know the word failure is used and overused when it comes to American politics, but this is the most abject collapse failure of my lifetime. And I’m observing it happen. I was not around for Jimmy Carter. I was not around for the gas lines and things like that. But to see an administration just fall on its face over and over and over again, it’s totally incoherent and haphazard.”
