With a new ABC News/Ipsos poll concluding that 55% of Republicans are “very enthusiastic” to cast their vote on Election Day compared to only 35% of Democrats, many strategists and pollers are doubtful Democrats will be able to turn things around. Minnesota Congressman and National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Emmer joins the Rundown to discuss what issues are driving Democratic voters away, how the campaigning process has been for the GOP, and what American voters can expect if Republicans take back the majority in the House.

Young people’s struggles with mental health in the U.S. increased last year according to new data from the CDC, and some are labeling this as a mental health crisis. Author of this memoir, Kyleigh Leddy joins the podcast to share how she wrote this book as a sort of love letter to her sister, her hope the story gives solidarity to those going through similar difficulties and the importance of destigmatizing mental illness to create progress for the future.
