Andrew McCarthy, Fox News Contributor and Former Assistant U.S. Attorney For Southern District Of New York joined the Guy Benson Show to react to fusion GPS requesting a judge to keep privileged Clinton campaign emails private.

McCarthy reacted to the request saying,
“I think this is one of the most delicious things, because if you remember the full statement against Michael Sussman, who’s the lawyer that Durham is prosecuting, is that he told them he wasn’t working for any particular client when he was actually working for the Clinton campaign. And this and this other guy who was trying to get a job in the Clinton campaign, and now they’re trying to stop Durham from getting the relevant communications that they have that bear on the case, citing the attorney client privilege, which the spokesman said that there was no attorney client privilege.”

McCarthy added,

“They’re running a play that they’re running a play. They’ve been running for 30 years. If you remember everything the Clintons ever did, that was shady. And we’re talking about a lot of things here. They always staffed up everything with lawyers. And then when people would try to including Congress, when they would try to inquire into it, they would invoke attorney client privilege and they’d say, Oh, no, no, you can’t look at this. It’s all, you know, covered by the Constitution.”
