Rep. Byron Donalds: Expect Inflation To Climb Even More If Biden Doesn’t Reverse Course
Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to react to Tuesday’s Labor Department report which revealed that the consumer price index rose 8.5% over the 12 months ending in March.
“The inflation number is hitting everybody. And what’s even worse than just the headline inflation, the 8.5 percent, is this thing called producer price index. That’s at 11.2 percent. So what that is, this is what it’s costing companies. This is what companies are having to do, and their costs are up year over year, 11.2 percent, which means those costs are going to come to you. They’re coming soon. So what the producers are saying now, that’s a foreshadow about what people are going to experience. So you’re at 8.5. It’s only going to continue to increase because that’s what all the producers are having to deal with right now. A part of it is energy. The rest of it is reckless policy, but it’s all swallowed the feet of Joe Biden. And he doesn’t want to reverse course.”
Rep. Donalds also shares his thoughts on why having more electric cars on the road will actually do very little to save the environment. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
