‘They Can’t Ignore It Anymore’, Kim Strassel Blasts Atlantic Writer Who Said Hunter Biden Laptop Story Is Not ‘Interesting’ Enough To Cover

Kim Strassel, Potomac Watch columnist for Wall Street Journal joined the Guy Benson Show to react to a writer from the Atlantic who called the Hunter Biden laptop story not ‘interesting’ enough to report on.

Strassel blasted the writer’s remarks saying,

“Yeah, it’s remarkable to watch everybody come up with all kinds of updated excuses. OK, so you have Anne Applebaum. And apparently, this isn’t interesting to her, which by the way, also it’s just a really weird standard guy. Like, I mean, do I get to say like, Well, I’m not really interested in Elon Musk, so I’ll just ignore what he does with Twitter or I’m not really interested in the Ukraine war, so we just won’t cover it. I mean, that’s not really the standard news is news.”

Strassel added,

“Look. They didn’t want to cover the story. Okay? And then when the pressure rose to have to cover the story, they conveniently went out and got these intelligence analysts and others to claim that it was disinformation as their excuse to not write the story. But now they can’t ignore it anymore because an arm of the federal government is investigating this.“
