Rep. Markwayne Mullin: Democrats Are Aware That Lifting Title 42 Will Cause A Significant National Security Risk

Oklahoma Republican Congressman Markwayne Mullin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why there could be a catastrophic situation at the U.S. Southern border if the Biden administration moves ahead with its plan to lift the Title 42 public health order.

“The Democrats as a whole, they want an open border. What they can’t deny is when they’re getting briefings on the border security, and what the national security risk it’s going to cause. For instance, underneath Title 42, the 11 terrorists that we have caught that were on the terrorist watch list was apprehended because of Title 42. And what I mean by that is because they were they were males traveling by themselves, we were able to hold them rather than doing this 24 hour turnaround where we put them on a bus and a plane and ship them to other parts around the country. We hold them for extradition purposes. And during that holding period, sometimes it takes two or three days back. Now you think soon as you enter the name, boom, a database will come back and show that they’re not on it. But it took two or three days for those terrorists to come up to be alerted that they were on the watch list. Well, these Democrats get the same reports. And then when you have their own DEA, mind you, the head of DEA was appointed by President Trump, when their own DEA agent is saying, hey, this is going to be a bad issue because we’re expecting a 40 percent increase in fentanyl, just as we speak now, when you release Title 42, we’re going to have an uncontrollable spike.”
