Howard Kurtz On Why Elon Musk Is No Longer Joining Twitter’s Board
Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Howard Kurtz, host of Fox News Channel’s “MediaBuzz” joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss the media’s slanted coverage of the Hunter Biden story and reacts to why Elon Musk is now no longer joining Twitter’s board after becoming the company’s largest shareholder.
Howard weighed in on why Musk declined to join Twitter’s board saying,
“Two possibilities. One is he really does want to take it over. The second possibility is it’s kind of what you say, which is he was just on fire this weekend saying, is Twitter dying? He also tweeted that the San Francisco headquarters returned to a homeless shelter because nobody shows up there anyway. He also said maybe we should get rid of the ads, which happens to be Twitter’s main form of revenue. So obviously, if he’s part, he’s not part of management. But if you’re on the board, you maybe feel a little bit more constrained. And he’s just decided, what the hell? I’m going to say whatever I want, and I’m going to put the pressure from the outside. I’m the biggest shareholder, I’m the world’s richest guy and uh, I’m kind of erratic. So this frees me up to use Twitter against Twitter, and I think it’s going to be an amazing story to watch because a lot of people on the right were hoping that he would have enough influence to reinstate Donald Trump and to lift some of the restrictions on speech, which liberals see, as you know, containing hate speech and misinformation.”
