Brian Brenberg: Biden’s Policies Could Send The U.S. Economy Into A Period Of Stagflation
Professor of Business and Economics at The King’s College in New York City Brian Brenberg joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain how the U.S. economy could soon be heading for a period of stagflation due to the Biden administration’s policies.
“Stagflation is really high prices and a slowing economy, and that’ll translate into lower employment. Yeah, that’s a problem. I mean, the 1970s, great for music, love the music of the 1970s. Right? But not the economy of the 1970s. That’s what people are concerned about here, and it’s because prices are going up so much. And there was a while where people were eating those price increases because they got all the stimulus checks and they want to get out. But now, they’re saying, yeah, you know, I just can’t keep paying what I’m paying for the laundry, the new appliance or even just the food I’m putting on my table. That’s where you start to get this kind of period where prices are going up and people are expecting that, but the economy is slowing down. That’s what they’re really trying to stay away from here.”
