Listen To The Full Interview Below:

Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss what changing border policy ‘Tile 42’ means for the influx of illegal migrants at the southern border.

Rep Chip Roy explained what ending tile 42 means saying,

“So to give you an example, last year, about two million people were apprehended. It depends on which part of the year you look at, but roughly two million 700,000 were intercepted and then released into the United States under what’s called Title eight. Okay. But the other 1.3 million, all of those or most of those were turned away under Title 42. Now they’re not all unique individuals. Some of them are repeat, but they’re turned away. Give me the March numbers. Roughly 200,000, we’re getting the final number I think it’s like 215,000 half of those were turned away in March under Title 42. So what that means is come May twenty third and then leading up to that right, everybody knows, Oh my gosh, that’s coming. So more people are going to come come May 23rd. Those people will no longer be turned away. So that means you’re going to have almost double or maybe at least double the number of people being released into the United States. The vast majority of whom have no legitimate claim to asylum.”
