Dave Landau: Will Smith’s Oscars Slap Is Proof People Don’t Know How To Take A Joke Anymore
Comedian Dave Landau joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards because the actor made a joke about his wife.
“We are becoming a country who rapidly cannot joke around about anything. And we just made it okay for somebody to go up and hit somebody for making a joke about ‘G.I. Jane’, who, let’s be honest, it’s not like this is a character from a movie that isn’t like a tough character. It’s not like, you know, Adrien Brody’s daughter in ‘Splice’ or something. It’s a tough character. So we’ve now allowed it to get to this point where you can actually hit somebody because they’ve insulted you. The violence that has been pushed by the Left and pushed by Hollywood is exactly what happened last night. It’s like a microcosm of the last two years on a stage.”
