“Uninspiring”, Brit Hume Reacts To Biden’s First State Of The Union Address

Brit Hume, senior political analyst for Fox News Channel joined the Guy Benson Show to react to Biden’s first state of the union address to Congress as the world watches the war unfolding in Ukraine.

Hume reacted to the major address by saying,

“Well, I thought he started strong on Ukraine. Just rhetorically. I thought he finished strong. And I think the speech fell apart in the middle because it was simply at a moment of historical opportunity and change. I think he simply did boilerplate, laundry list of programs, some of which were generally repackaged pieces of legislation that had already failed and so on. And it was uninspiring. The connective tissue within the speech I thought was weak. And so it didn’t really, I don’t think moved the needle very much. State of the union addresses rarely do move the needle very much just in terms of popular sentiment. So that’s my take on it.”
