Inflation Is Putting a Squeeze on American Families: What’s the Solution?

As rising inflation remains a prominent worry among Americans, the Biden Administration and Federal Reserve are assuring the public that they’re dedicated to finding ways to reestablish balance within the economy. However, as prices of everyday items continue to skyrocket with little to no progress being seen, many in the U.S. wonder how long we can deal with this problem. Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX) joins the Rundown to discuss how Biden’s actions have contributed to heightened inflation, his concerns about the IRS targeting the middle and lower class, and how a potential geopolitical conflict with Russia could lead to soaring oil and energy prices in America.

According to a 2021 study from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the suicide rate among veterans is almost twice as high as that among non-veterans in the U.S. Retired Marine veteran Cole Lyle was almost part of that statistic had it not been for a fellow Marine intervening. Now, he serves as the Executive Director of Mission Roll Call, a non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention through advocating for veterans’ needs.  He joins the Rundown to discuss what saved his life after his time in the service, efforts to end the stigma around mental health, and the work Mission Roll Call does to aid veterans.
