KT McFarland On Most Significant Threat US Has Faced In Our History: Russia/China Partnership
China and Russia on the opening day of the Winter Olympics declared a “no limits” partnership, backing each other over standoffs on Ukraine and Taiwan with a promise to collaborate more against the West.
Fmr Trump Deputy National Security Advisor, KT McFarland, said the following of the partnership:
“they have pledged each other into a new 21st century alliance that will have no limits on their cooperation. They will cooperate on energy. They will cooperate on trade, in dealing with the Arctic and dealing with international organizations and dealing with space. They have laid down a manifesto of how they plan to really rule the world from the 21st century. And that’s the most shocking thing to me of all. It was long. It’s a very well thought through. They’ve been these guys been working on this for a long time. And so I think it’s a it’s a probably the biggest national security threat the United States has faced in our history is a combined Russia and China, China, with its technological ability and with its money and our history, its weapons and research in our history. I mean, maybe go back to 1776 or the Civil War, but certainly since, you know, I mean, this is much bigger than the Second World War, potentially, after all.”
