Evening Edition: U.S. Forces Being Sent To NATO Countries In Eastern Europe

President Biden has approved a plan to send two thousand additional U.S. troops to NATO countries in Eastern Europe to bolster their defenses as Russia continues their own troop build up on Ukraine’s border. American forces will be heading to Germany and Poland and forces already in Germany will be heading to Romania but, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby has said these forces will not be fighting in Ukraine. FOX’s Trey Yingst speaks to Cliff May, the President of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, about the importance of showing support for NATO countries and what diplomatic measures are taking place this week to try and ease tensions.
