FOX News Rundown EXTRA: Why Enes Kanter Freedom Refuses To ‘Shut Up’
As the Chinese Communist Party commits human rights violations against the Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in China, many American companies, celebrities, and athletes find difficulty openly criticizing China’s actions. They fear losing out on business and opportunities in China.
Boston Celtics’ center Enes Kanter Freedom is an exception. He has been an outspoken critic of the Chinese Communist Party despite the pushback he has received.
Earlier this week, the NBA player joined host Jessica Rosenthal to explain why he is disappointed in the league and LeBron James for choosing “business over morals” and why he felt it was necessary to speak out against the atrocities being committed by the Chinese Communist Party.
The NBA star also discussed why he changed his name to Freedom and recently decided to become a U.S. citizen.
Due to time limitations, we could not include all of the interview in our original segment.
