Dr. Marty Makary: Omicron COVID Cases Appear To Be Mild

Dr. Marty Makary, Fox News Contributor, Surgeon, and Professor Of Health Policy At The Johns Hopkins School Of Public Health joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss the threat the South African ‘Omicron’ covid variant poses to Americans.

Dr. Makary said,

“There’s this attempt to sort of one up the next guy on. I’m bolder and tougher on COVID than you are. And it’s not healthy when we see political leaders doing that because, look, I’m pro mammogram, but I would not recommend mammograms for men and children. Right? I mean, there’s a point at which there’s no scientific basis. And when you talk about people who are already immune, there’s no scientific basis. And he argued that he needs he’s doing this to get ahead of Omicron, It’s a mild, it appears to be a mild infection.”

Dr. Makary added,

“Our threat now is not Omicron. Our threat is Delta. I mean, Delta is still killing people every day. And as it burns through the population, we’re still seeing a very select group of Americans get in trouble with COVID. And those are adults with no immunity, no natural or vaccinated immunity who have a risk factor. Those are the there’s about 10 to 25 million of them in the United States.”
