Andrew McCarthy Reacts To Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Verdict

Andrew McCarthy, Fox News Contributor, Former Assistant U.S. Attorney For Southern District Of NY joined the Guy Benson Show to react to the Kyle Rittenhouse trial verdict.

Andy had this to say,

“Well guy, I am delighted by the result, just because I think it was not only that it was a just verdict, but I think we should all be relieved that the jury resolves this case rather than putting a hot potato back in the judge’s lap, which I think would have happened if the jury had not resolved the case. I was obviously wrong in thinking that there would be a hung jury with each passing hour. I was more convinced of that because it was a fairly straightforward case a short trial, a finite trial record, really one intermixed legal and factual question to be decided, which was did Kyle Rittenhouse have a valid self-defense claim on the facts of the case? And it really came down even by the prosecutor’s theory to what happened in the first confrontation because they argued that if he was in the wrong on the first confrontation, that everything else the cascade of other events that followed, he would be wrong with respect to those two. So that’s really what the jury had to hone in on.”
