Ari Fleischer: Election Night Exposed The Democrats’ “Circular Firing Squad”

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Contributor and former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer explains what lessons Democrats can take away from their defeat on Election Night in Virginia and the race in New Jersey for governor that is still yet to be determined.

“They’re forming themselves into a circular firing squad. The problem Democrats have is they have a devout ardent group of progressives and socialists who really believe what they say. They think that America is a systemically racist country and that the police are largely made up of people who brutalize other people. It’s not just a few isolated bad apples. Wherever there’s somebody like that, they should be called out. They should be prosecuted. But they paint with too wide a brush and they really believe it and they’re ideologues. So an election night is not going to ship them off of their position. And this is the rub the Democrats have, their moderates now versus their progressives are going to both dig in and draw opposite lessons from what happened last night in blue, blue states. And if I were the Democrats, I’d really look at New Jersey. Virginia is in the bag, we know it, maybe it was one aberration. But when it spreads to New Jersey and a blue of blue states is almost lost and still may be lost by the Democrats, you they’ve got a real big problem.”
