Sen. Steve Daines: Democrats Criticizing The Border Patrol On Horseback “Have Never Been In Rural America”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) talks about how the Border Patrol agents banned from riding on horseback are being unfairly criticized for just doing their jobs.
“These Democrats have never been in rural America and see what it’s like to ride horses, what we call that just for the folks playing at home here, it’s called split rains. When you’re on a horse, instead of having the reins tied together, they’re split reins. It allows it allows the cowboy, in this case Border Patrol, better maneuverability with the horse. That’s what they were looking at. You saw Kamala Harris. She was enraged saying they are whippings, that’s absolutely false. These Border Patrol agents are doing their jobs. They’re riding with what they call split reins. And they got this one camera angle that looks like it when the reins were sticking out. And the vice president calls it a whip.”
“A great big shout out and thank you to Border Patrol. They have been given truly an impossible task, a very dangerous task. It’s immoral what the Biden administration is doing. First, for these refugees by creating this vacuum, by suspending the rule of law and allowing the policies incentivized to come across. And what this does to the children, the families, but also the Border Patrol agents who are trying to do their jobs professionally and are risking their lives and protecting our country.”
