Johnny Joey Jones: Congress Needs To Investigate What Happened In Afghanistan
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News podcast host Johnny Joey Jones questions the decisions that led to the chaos that resulted from the United States leaving Afghanistan.
“You got to put these things into context. From a military strategy standpoint, posturing and signaling is a thing. So I’m not going to just fault him for something like this at face value. But when you take that and you put it in context, it’s like, OK, well, if this, then that, like is this, then why did you still make these bad decisions? If you knew that you understood you needed to posture so the Taliban wasn’t empowered, then why did you let us pull out of Bagram in the middle of the night and telegraph to the entire world that the Afghan army couldn’t sustain itself on the one base it needed to keep? And so there’s a lot of mixed messaging there to where maybe it was a day late and a dollar short, maybe the left hand isn’t talking to the right, and maybe Congress needs to do its job and investigate and find out so this doesn’t happen again. I don’t think any of those are going to come to fruition in any time soon. But those are the maybes.”
