Katie Pavlich, Editor for Townhall.com & Fox News Contributor joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to discuss the recent rise in violent crime in the nation’s capitol.

Katie Pavlich said,
“As we know, crime in D.C. is absolutely out of control there with that shooting outside of Nats park over the weekend. And you have the mayor now saying that they’re going to use resources in D.C. to pay for more overtime for police. And that’s great. But if you’re not if you don’t have prosecutors who are willing to put people behind bars who are committing these crimes and they end up getting released and committing even more crimes, they just are kind of on this roster of people the police continually arrests. You definitely don’t solve any of the problems. And I think, yes, absolutely. You’re seeing that kind of get pushed over into Northern Virginia. And it used to be that criminals were very scared of coming into Virginia because the laws in the prosecution process was much more stringent. But I do know that we have I believe a there’s a prosecutor now in Arlington who is part of this new ideology of, you know, no bail and allowing people to to get out of jail early, even if they’ve committed very violent crimes, not following through with prosecutions. And we know that’s a recipe for disaster. We’ve seen it all around the country. So, you know, there are consequences for allowing criminals to run free and essentially legalizing crime. And a shooting is you know, I know there’s been a spate of car break ins in northern Virginia, but the shooting is obviously much more serious.”
