Dr. Nicole Saphier: Going “Door-To Door” With Vaccines Won’t Make People Less Skeptical

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Medical Contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier explained why President Biden wanting to get people vaccinated “door-to-door” won’t encourage people to get them and why the messaging by Dr. Fauci on masks has been “terrible.”

“Getting to those rural and isolated places of the country is extremely important, but the way to do that is to reach out to the local public health officials, reach out to the local physicians, make sure that they have everything they need, including education and access to the vaccines. Because all you’re going to do by going door-to-door to these people, they’re going to see that as an intrusion. That’s not what’s going to help getting people to be less skeptical about these vaccines.”

“The majority of people that we’re talking about right now are those that are vaccine skeptical and they’re skeptical for many reasons throughout the process. The whole process of getting the vaccines here were politicized. And one of the biggest things that they could do is to get the full FDA approval in the vaccines for adults. And the thing is, they have the data, they have the timeline. They have the number of participants, that should be on their top priority list to get a full FDA approval. And I bet you you will see some more adults getting vaccinated once that happens.”

“And I think that the messaging has been terrible coming out of Dr. Fauci and even the CDC recently. I think that they need to continue to encourage adults to get vaccinated, especially in areas with low vaccine rates. But the only way to do that is to focus on the vaccine-hesitant. And the biggest thing they can do is get full FDA approval.”
