Victor Davis Hanson Compares Gwen Berry To Colin Kaepernick: “A Mediocre Athlete That Cashed In Big Time”

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Senior Fellow At The Hoover Institution Victor Davis Hanson explained why people are tired of seeing athletes like Gwen Berry and Colin Kaepernick become activists while not achieving any success in their sports.

“When you’re a mediocre in the sense you didn’t even win the first or second, and then you deliberately try to take away all recognition for the first and second person. And then you’re identified by your race and then you’re affluent and leisured and you got heavy makeup on. And it’s kind of a cosmetic performance art event. And you’re trying to convince the rest of us that you’re oppressed. And people that watch that, the majority of Americans are going to say, you know, I’ve been there, done that, I’m getting bored of this. I went through Colin Kaepernick for five years now, a mediocre athlete that cashed in big time. That’s what you’re doing. You’re trying to get a Nike shoe or something by this performance. Just count me out, I don’t want to watch this. And that’s what’s happened. If you look at NFL or NBA or even Major League Baseball viewership, attendance, Oscars, Grammys, you name it, people are going to the theater, theater attendance, movie attendance, they’re not they’re not participating because of this constant 360 degree, 24/7 indoctrination. People are really getting sick of it.”
