FOX News Rundown Extra: Terrorists “Running Rampant”? The Growing Concerns Over America’s Afghan Exit

America’s troops continue to withdraw from Afghanistan.

But while the U.S. has been there for nearly two decades, there are concerns we’re leaving too soon. The Taliban is reportedly taking over more parts of the country and is expected to seize more once America’s exit is scheduled to be complete after September, 11th of this year.

Republican Florida Congressman Brian Mast was badly injured as an army staff sergeant in Afghanistan in 2010. He thinks the withdrawal is not being executed properly.

On the FOX News Rundown earlier this week, host Dave Anthony spoke to Rep. Mast about why he objects to President Biden’s Afghanistan exit strategy and why he believes terrorists may soon ‘run rampant’ around the country.

Rep. Mast also weighed in on the House’s recent vote to repeal the 2002 war powers resolution that authorized the use of military force in Iraq. Something he also took issue with.

The conversation was too long and we could not include all of it in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with veteran and Florida Republican Rep. Brian Mast. He gives more of his take on Afghanistan and Iraq, but he also weighs in on President Biden’s recent efforts to combat America’s crime surge and more strictly enforce gun laws.
