Jessica Tarlov: Voters Aren’t Stupid And Don’t Want To Be Lied To About A Border Crisis

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Contributor Jessica Tarlov discussed why White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki should use the word “crisis” when referring to the situation at the border.

“I don’t think that using the term ‘crisis’ hurts us. Voters aren’t stupid and they don’t want to be lied to. And that was a key tenant of the ‘No Malarkey’ tour. We all have our big boy pants on, right? Nobody thinks that the border is ever going to be easy to deal with. And that goes back, I mean, there have been border crises under every modern president. It’s just different denominations of it. And so I think that this attempt to reframe as ‘it’s not a crisis,’ children who need a better life are coming to us, we want that. And seeking asylum is legal. But the housing part, it is obviously a crisis because now you’re using two military bases. So you did need more room for them. And there’s a 10% positivity rate from COVID. That’s a problem.”
