Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN): Biden Doesn’t Have The Border Under Control, “Is Going To Get Worse”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) tells Jimmy what she heard and saw when she visited the border this past weekend and explains why she thinks what the Secretary of Homeland Security is being “disingenuous” about the border crisis.
“I think that right now what they are trying to do is have people believe that they’ve got this all under control and we know that they do not have it all under control. But if they don’t talk about it, and they’ve done this on so many different issues, if we don’t talk about it, maybe people won’t know about it and then maybe the issue will take care of itself. Well, let me tell you something. This is going to get worse and worse and worse because the cartels feel like that Joe Biden has said, you know, we expect two million illegal aliens to come to the border this year and they feel like, all right, let’s up our game, which they are doing.”
“I talked to ranchers yesterday that are losing the ability to work on their ranches. Because of what? Because of the trafficking that is taking place, people coming through their border. I talked to some homeowners that periodically will look out their back door and they see packs, one of the cartel packs in their backyard. I saw one yesterday morning and they got little kids at the house or another family that said they had a swimming pool and they awakened and find illegal aliens in their swimming pool or drinking water from their pool. This is what is happening to our fellow citizens, our fellow citizens that live on the border. You talk to local law enforcement and ICE is just not showing up to pick these criminal illegal aliens up and deport them.”
“It makes you wonder where are the environmental groups to come work with these counties and address this issue? Why are they quiet? Where are some of these women’s groups who say they are all for women? But here are women and children who are just having their lives destroyed and the abuse that they are encountering, they need to stand up against this and they need to secure that border. And for the Secretary to say the border is closed and everything is under control is so totally disingenuous.”
