Dr. Marc Siegel: You’re More Likely To Get COVID Not In School Than If You’re In School
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Medical Correspondent Dr. Marc Siegel discusses how much influence teachers’ unions have on COVID policy, and why Dr. Siegel doesn’t buy into the credit Gov. Andrew Cuomo is getting for his COVID policies.
“Obviously everyone expects that because the support to the Democrats from the unions. But it’s an ongoing struggle. I mean, clearly, Rochelle Walensky, the head of the CDC, who actually have a great regard for, said teachers got to go back, vaccine or no vaccine. The precautions are in place, very, very low amount of spread. Teachers’ unions point to the Wisconsin study that the CDC reported, but what about the North Carolina study? Ninety thousand people. Ninety thousand kids and teachers. Thirty two cases occurred in the school. You’re more likely to get COVID if you’re not in school, if you’re at home, than if you’re in school.”
“I can’t bear that, the whole grandstanding effort and the Emmy, that’s enough for me, and then we find out that there’s twice as much deaths than there is from nursing homes as we thought. I knew that was the case because I knew the national figures weren’t matching up with the state figures. And now we find out that when people were sent to hospitals from nursing homes, they weren’t reported as nursing home deaths. That snafu isn’t a conspiracy theory.”
