On today’s Guy Benson Show, Katie Pavlich, Editor for Townhall.com & Fox News Contributor spoke about reports that the Biden WH is screening press briefing questions in advance.

Katie Pavlich said,

“With all due respect to Jen Psaki, and she’s new to the job and the position, I think this is an effort by her team to get her some help, given kind of the the briefings that she’s had over the past two weeks and the lack of answers for reporters. So to give them the benefit of the doubt, they may be searching around for content or at least topics for questions, because she is doing these briefings every day and she’s giving reporters a lengthy amount of time to ask a variety of questions. It’s not like they just stick to, you know, one question each or half the room getting a question. She does thoroughly go through the room. And sometimes reporters get more than one question on different turns, which that’s good. But in terms of asking what the contents are or the questions are in advance, it’s wholly inappropriate. The White House press team should be you know, they should be prepared for any kind of question that these reporters are going to ask.”

Pavlich also said,

“It is an inappropriate thing to be doing, to kind of try to control the messaging. At the same time, I do think that the length of the press conferences have been good. I mean, she is doing them every day and they last for anywhere from half an hour to an hour. So I do think that that access is good. But in terms of asking the press for their questions in advance, that is completely inappropriate. And I’m glad to see that the White House press corps is pushing back and saying we are not comfortable with engaging in that fashion and be an extension of the Biden press arm rather than, you know, someone reporting on what they are doing.”
