Peter Doocy On Covering The Biden White House During It’s First Week
Listen To The Full Interview Below:
On today’s Guy Benson Show, Peter Doocy Fox News Channel’s White House Correspondent spoke about what it’s like covering the Biden White House and Doocy’s sometimes testy interactions with the President.
Peter Doocy said,
I have learned through the transition and now I’m getting to know my White House colleagues here. But, you know, you figure out what other people are going to ask about, and I don’t want to ask about that stuff. And if it’s something that’s totally out of left field, I try to give the team a heads up. Obviously, it’s pretty impossible to give the president of the United States a heads up about something I want to ask about. But, you know, I am one of the only people because they they never called on me during the transition at those briefings. I’m like the only one who had to figure out how to make a question short and catchy enough, or as Biden would say, edgy, that I could shout it and he would hear it and answer it. So I have brought that skill to the White House.
Doocy added,
“The President, he hasn’t changed his way in terms of. I have noticed and there’s video and photographic evidence to back this up. When I am in there. He looks around and he spots me and he is expecting it from me. I can’t speak for my other colleagues because, again, I’ve only been on this beat for a week, but I know that he expects something at the end of every event and will keep giving it to him.”
